Bunker quality trends and the need to buy smartly

In our first 6-monthly Bunker Quality Trends report, we dissect and compare the likelihood of off specification issues across all commercial grades of bunkers and key ports.

Using data from approximately 35,000 deliveries*, we:

• Assess fuel quality trends using our own Quality Index
• Consider the availability of fuels in general
• Review what specifications are being guaranteed
• Reveal which ports offer a higher risk of claims issues
• Compare a high vs low performing supplier and delve into the reasons why this might be the case
